Privacy Policy

Effective: 1 October 2026

1. Information collected

• Documents you upload or import from Google Drive
• Research notes, collections, and labels
• Chat conversations with the AI assistant

KB does not hold your Google credentials. Connecting Google Drive is optional and happens once on the platform hub at meta-me.uk/settings/integrations/google, which stores the authorisation and brokers access on KB's behalf. When you import a Google Doc, KB stores a copy of that document's content here as one of your documents — it is then yours to edit or delete like any other. Disconnecting Google on the hub stops future imports; it does not remove documents you have already imported. See the Meta-Me privacy policy for what the hub stores and how to revoke access.

2. AI processing

KB uses Google Gemini to enrich your documents:

• Text embeddings for semantic search (gemini-embedding-001)
• Document summarisation and labelling
• Entity extraction and salience analysis

Your data is never used to train general AI models. AI requests are processed in real-time.

3. Third-party services

• Google Gemini — AI processing
• Google Drive — optional document import, brokered by the Meta-Me hub
• Meta-Me auth — SSO authentication

4. Security

• Row-Level Security — only you access your data
• Self-hosted on Meta-Me's own servers in the UK, with standby copies of the database and daily off-site backups
• Encrypted in transit (HTTPS), reaching our servers through a Cloudflare Tunnel
• Delete all data: Settings → Delete Account

5. Your rights

Contact: [email protected]. Delete your account and all data at any time through Settings.
